Thai Chi Restaurant & Cafe occupies a rooftop spot on Level 7 of a building along Bijay Sarani in Dhaka, offering a blend of Thai, Chinese, Indian, and local Bangladeshi flavors in one place. The restaurant serves as a full-service dining destination that also includes a cozy coffee corner, making it a versatile venue for both meals and casual coffee breaks.

The standout feature here is the rooftop setting with expansive views overlooking the old airport area and the open sky, especially striking during sunset. This vantage point creates an open, airy atmosphere that feels spacious compared to many city dining options. Indoor seating is also available, catering to those who prefer a more sheltered experience, but the rooftop remains the main draw for its relaxed vibe and fresh air.

In terms of food, the menu is diverse, bringing together classic Thai dishes like Thai Soup Thick, Bangkok Fried Chicken, and Mixed Fried Rice alongside Indian staples like Beef Biryani, while also offering coffee shop treats such as Caffè Latte, Cappuccino Latte, and espresso-based drinks. While the food quality is generally fresh and satisfying, some visitors note the pricing leans toward the higher side relative to the portion sizes and quality, which might be expected for a prime rooftop location.

This spot works well for lunch outings, family gatherings, and special celebrations including weddings and birthday parties. The ample space on the rooftop lends itself well to larger groups. Parking facilities nearby make it accessible for both casual diners and event attendees.

The coffee corner adds a casual touch to the restaurant’s otherwise diverse menu, making it a comfortable place for locals to enjoy a well-prepared cappuccino or espresso. It seems well suited for afternoon visits when one can soak in the views alongside a warm drink or for a relaxed post-meal coffee with friends.

Service is generally attentive but with some room for improvement, typical of busy multifunctional venues. Payment options are flexible, accepting both cash and digital methods, accommodating a range of visitors.

Thai Chi Restaurant & Cafe appeals most to diners looking for a roomier, open-air dining experience with scenic city views, especially those who appreciate a mix of Asian cuisines and a good coffee break. Early evening hours during sunset appear to be a particularly pleasant time to visit for the atmosphere alone.

It's one of the best rooftops restaurants in Dhaka city. You see a open view of old airport and open sky. Good place for party and family

A phenomenal place with breathtaking view from the outdoor roofside, to have foods around Bijoy Sarani. The restaurant have both indoor and outdoor facilities. Foods taste good but price seems a bit high according to the quality. There's also room for improvement among the staffs. Overall a nice place. Also during sunset the rooftop looks absolutely stunning.

We were there to attend a wedding. Large space, appropriate to arrange any special gathering like birthday, wedding etc. They have a rooftop with beautiful view. Impressive service.

Rooftop restaurant having one of the most beautiful view of Dhaka city. Clean and spacious. Food was freshly cooked but tasted like Bangladeshi version of thai food. Staff behaviour was good, but they need to be more professional. Not every food mentioned in the menu was available. Best thing: Spacious parking lot, no hassel car parking. You can have a hot milk tea after meal. Worst thing: There were plenty of flies after the meal was served and they use polythyn for take away food items.

A very expensive restaurant with not any exceptional food. The view from the restaurant's outside open place is very nice but you can't really enjoy eating there outside during the summer. They have decent Chinese food. Their rice is very normal and their soup too. I recommend their beef sizzling and the Chinese vegetable. The interior design of the restaurant is also very basic like the old restaurants and this is a very old Chinese restaurant too. I don't recommend hosting any parties with family and friends as their food is way too expensive.
